What do i do when my xbox 360 gets the red circle of death?

wrap it up in a towel.. i know it sounds stupid, and most ppl think its just a myth, but it works. my friends got the red light, and we wrapped it up in a towel and was fine shortly after.
as for knowing if its under warranty or not.. just figure out how long youve had it. if you’ve had it for more than 3 years, then no. but if you havent then yes you do.
as for the cooling fan, yes that most likely had alot to do with it. ALOT of ppl have been complaining that they’ve effed up their 360’s. dont use it anymore.
now two tips that could really help you are:
-dont put it on carpet (use a piece of wood or a table to set it on
-dont leave it on for extended periods of time

you have to send it to be repaired by microsoft.
they just extendend their warranty to 3 years, so if you purchased your xbox360 less than 3 yrs ago, than your in luck, it will be free.
