xbox 360 red lights
Brett G asked:

Ive had my 360 for a few years and it has been working fine until lately. it keeps shutting down with 2 red lights blinking. TWO not three. it does it continuously!!! but its funny in a way. it is almost as if when i fall from a high height in cod4 or get blown up by a grenade, it over-freakin-heats. i bought an intercooler, put it in everypossible position. verticle, horitizontal, floor, desk, on a cabinet then has small holes that could be used for ventilation. if anybody has had this prob and fixed it please tell or if you know anything or an idea of how to fix it plz tell. THANKS!

Find out how I fixed my Xbox 360

yes i had this problem when i was playing gears of war it would overheat when i popped someones head or get blown up, so what i did was use the towel method. go to youtube and type xbox 360 towel fix. if this doesnt work then you will probably have to send it to microsoft for repair but if you dont have warranty then it will cost alot.

Well it is either your position overheating or a plug is coming lose, check all plugs continously, get a chill station, it helps keeping it stable, cools it to. btw what is your gamertag for xbox live.

DONT SEND IT TO MICROSOFT! go to look for the link that says ” Xbox 360 3 Red Lights Repair Guide ” Click it and learn how to fix its yourself! its faster because if you send it into Microsoft it takes about 4 weeks to get it back. So do what i said above and Good Luck

Well as you know two means its overheating. First of all you have to keep it in a cool room intercooler or not. Also give it a lot of breathing room. at least 4-6 inches ll around. Mine gets a little hot after several hours(about 5). Also mine has never done that. I got mone april of this year and it has not gotton hot enough to overheat. It has gotton pretty hot but not that bad, O ya and make sure your room is well ventilated like windows open or if you have an a/c or a fan to circulate air.

either place it in a place withouth overheating (such as inside the freezer) and play there. or play on the open, that thend’s to solve overheating. it’s awesome how good it is to drink something while defeating lou in gh3 but if that does not solve the problem, check it to see if there’s something that could possibly be causing an energy leak.
it happened to me on my ps2 i had to buy a new one cuz it blown up ( it REALLY blown up. exploded into 930148 pieces) that denotes that the xbox is more intelligent and shuts itself down. lol..
