    We just had that problem. Had to take ours back to the store to replace it. The sales clerk, who seemed pretty knowledgeable, told us about 30% of Xbox 360s have hardware failure (what the red lights of death tell you). 30%!!! That is one defective product! What’s worse is that Microsoft isn’t putting a fan attachment on that to fix it!

    Visit you tube type in your xbox ring of death, 3 red lights xbox anything pertaining to the subject watch the videos. Also, purchase the $19.99 fan for it it’s a little noisey but it will solve the overheating problem…Good Luck

    this problem only occurs more often for people who have purchased a 360 within a year of its release, when the bugs havent been worked out. If you buy one now, it shouldnt be a problem for you because there are new models that came out. If it does though, just send it to Microsoft and they can fix it for you for free.
