my friend had the red rings of death before too cause he was doing a glitch and it lagged out. don’t worry about it but if it happens again and it stays red then send it back and get it fixed/a new one
he was asking about his 360, not if he should get a PS3. all you sony fanboys need to quit doing that just to get points

My first xbox did that too. It was an overheating problem. I had to send it in to xbox to get it fixed. Better to face the music and send it in now rather than wait. Since I’ve gotten my new one I’ve had no problems.

That is known as “The Red Ring of Death.” Basically its the start of nothing but bad things for your 360. It happens all the time to the older boxes without the new chips. Call Xbox and report it. What they will do is send you a brand new Xbox at no cost or fix your old one for free.
Red Ring is bad….
Good luck….

Well firstly he isn’t getting the ring of death, he is only getting one of the lights. According to Microsoft.com, a single red light indicates that there might have been a hardware malfunction. But if you aren’t having any more issues with it then I wouldn’t worry about it. If it happens again Microsoft recommends that you unhook all of the cables and take out the hard drive for 30 seconds then retry starting the system. Then if it persists, call Customer Support.

ok call customer service and tell them to send you a box so u can send you xbox in because they don’t let you just send yours in you have to have a special box for some reason just in case it crashes because it takes a very long time for even the box to come in even if it doesn’t brake now it might in like 30 days or something it will save a lot of time if u ordered the box now instead of later. because if its a hardware malfunction they should fix or replace it with another one.
