xbox 360 red lights twice in a row?
June 4th, 2008 | by xboxrepair |Jon R asked:
My xbox got the three led lights on September 28th ( 3 days after Halo 3 came out) and then I called Microsoft for a repair. I got my xbox back on October 26th and I set it up and went to the xbox 360 dashboard. I put Halo 3 in and the screen started going crazy and made loud noises. I shut down the 360 and turned it on again and the 3 red lights appeared. I was very angry with Microsoft and the Supervisor told me he will make sure it is not broken but I do not know if that will be true. Has anyone ever heard about this happening to someone else? Can it possibly be Halo 3 that is causing this problem??

put another game in it. if it does the same thing, then its not Halo3 ’s fault

No, I’ve never heard of a game causing that.. The 360’s have a known problem and Microsoft knows about it and has set aside money to fix it. You just got unlucky and either got a bad repairman who didn’t do the job correctly or you got another bad part. i bet the second fix will work for you.
I had to send my 360 in for the same problem once but now it runs Halo 3 great.

Same thing here in Canada.. Demand a new unit and not a repair.. In Canada when u get the red light of death ms automatically gives you a brand new unit and not a repair but in the US the ms guy said they try and repair.. I don’t think its the game but it is definatly the console.. Tell them you want a replacement and not a repair…
