Xbox 360: What is the difference from 3 flashing red lights and 4 flashing red lights?
September 13th, 2008 | by xboxrepair |cloud asked:
Or are they both the same thing?
A couple of days ago I turned on my 360 and it had 3 flashing red lights, the next day I turned it on and it had 4 flashing red lights, then I turned it on today and it had the 3 red flashing lights again.
(I know it’s the Red Ring of Death, but what’s the difference between 3 and 4 red lights?)
I called, told them about this and they said I couldn’t return it. They said my warranty expired and I’ve barely had it for 2 months.

in either case you need to send it back to microsoft to get it repaired. Call 800-4my-xbox to setup a return and repair.

one means your power brick isn’t connected right or that your power supply is corrupted, the other means your system crashed and you have to send it in to have it fixed.
