Jake M asked:

I recently got an XBOX 360 Pro yesterday, and I’m trying to get my headset connected (The headset that comes with the xbox 360 Pro), but i’m not sure if it works. It’s a single-prong jack, but the headset port has 3 openings. I put the singe-prong jack into the central port, and I hear a pop in the earpiece, but i’m not sure if it’s opperational. In all of the setup guides, the headset jack is a larger plug with the mute and volume on the plug itself, whereas my head set has the volume and mute on a control on the cord. Can someone help me figure this out?
the question isn’t “how do I set it up” it’s “Will the single-prong headset work for xbox live, even though the headset plug doesn’t look like any of the other headset plugs i’ve seen?”

You have to enable voice chat in the family settings or you won’t be able to hear anyone or talk to anyone.

ahh. no it wont work. a 3 prong opening has to go in a 3 prong opening. You need yo get a transfer plug that as the one prong plug-in and a open 3 prong opening (i got mine with with the full pakage of “rock band”, or get a newer mic with a single-prong…( i got mine with the messanger kit, its like 20 bucks)
