Xbox Live NAT Troubleshooting?

How can I change my NAT to open, or even moderate? I do not have a router, so the vast amount of other answers don’t really help me. Instead, I connect my Ethernet cord from an outlet in the wall directly into the Xbox 360, since I live in an enclosed community of apartments. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
